Autumn Market - A medium sized basket woven with natural, dark green and dark brown reed measuring 9” long x 6” wide x 8” tall. An inserted oak swing handle makes this a practical but useful basket. A painted stoneware leaf compliments the fall theme.

Painted Pantry Basket - This is an easy and fast to weave basket. Participants will weave basket, base coat and then paint their basket in acrylic. Pattern will include 3 sizes of Pantry Baskets. Basket dimensions for class are: 5” long x 5 ½” tall x 4 ½” wide.

Trinket Basket - Basket begins on a wooden base with attached handle. Dyed spokes and wavers alternating with natural create the plaid pattern on the sides. Basket measures - 6 ½” wide x 7 ½” long x 4” to handle. This makes a nice gift basket.

Sorry for the lapse in newsletters…I have had the opportunity to teach and vend at a retreat in Greenfield as well as some one day events with guilds in May and June. Of course April was Richmond and it is always a good event for teaching and vending. They had 350 + attendees this year. They were all worthwhile and I had a good time but I’m glad to be focusing on teaching here at the shop and close to home. Am working on new projects and baskets for Fall and the Holiday Season.

As I finish this newsletter I can look out and see the yard that once again needs mowed and I’ve spotted some weeds that must have grown a foot overnight in a flower bed. I know that I am not alone when I comment on the amount of yard work and mowing that has been done this season - and I know that you all are shaking your heads and smiling!

Have a good summer and hopefully I’ll see you soon for a class or just stop in and say hello! And - again - I thank you for your patronage and support it is much appreciated.
